Hospitality and Tourism

Program Leader:  Amanda Flintoft

Hospitality and Tourism is one of the most versatile and rewarding courses, equipping students with essential life skills while preparing them for a thriving career in a dynamic industry. This program fosters strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service abilities—skills that are valuable in any profession. Whether pursuing a career in hotels, restaurants, event planning, or travel services, students gain hands-on experience in cafeteria and bakery production, as well as catering opportunities, allowing them to apply their learning in real-world settings.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in the Hospitality and Tourism High Skills Major, where they earn industry-recognized certifications and gain specialized training to give them a competitive edge in the workforce. Additionally, skills competitions provide a platform for students to showcase their talents and further refine their expertise.

Beyond career preparation, Hospitality and Tourism teaches adaptability, teamwork, and professionalism—qualities that benefit individuals in both their personal and professional lives. It’s the perfect blend of practical training, real-world experience, and career-building opportunities!
