Science Courses
Science is a compulsory course in grades 9 and 10. After earning grade 9 and 10 credits, students may choose to continue studying science as an elective. The 3 main branches are Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, which can each be studied in the college or university stream. Biology
Biology is the study of living things, including cell structure, human and animal systems, and plants.
Chemistry
Chemistry is the study of matter, including atomic structure, molecules, and reactions. Some chemistry topics include mathematical calculations.
Physics
Physics is the study of various types of energy and forces. Mathematical calculations are used as a tool to answer physics questions.

Grade 11
Environmental Science (SVN) - Students will explore environmental challenges and solutions, the impact of the environment on human health, sustainable agriculture and forestry, waste reduction and management, and sustainable energy. Students will increase their environmental literacy and examine the relationships between science, the environment, and society.
