AWQ3M1|Photography Visual Arts
In Photography, students will learn how to use a digital (DSLR) camera, studio lighting and Adobe editing software such as Photoshop and Lightroom. Students will explore photographic elements of art, principles of design, composition, and explore a variety of photographic subjects such as people, food, animals, sports and cars. Emphasis will be placed on developing autonomy and pursuing personal interests to develop an individual photographic voice. No photography experience required.
ASM3M1|Media Arts Intro to Yearbook
In yearbook, students will work as a team to design, capture and create the yearbook. Students will learn basic Photography, Page Design, Marketing and Journalism. This is a team-based course where student involvement is tailored to their strengths and interests. Students are responsible to cover the events, teams, subjects and people of Centennial through photography and in written language in a way that inclusively represents the school.
Grade 12
AVI4M1|Visual Arts
This class is all about helping you refine your artistic skills.You’ll explore a wide range of materials and techniques to create stunning two- and three-dimensional artwork. Along the way, you’ll build a strong portfolio that shows off your best work. You'll also dive into the creative process, learning how to analyze art. With plenty of hands-on studio time, you'll experiment, create, and grow your style in a supportive and exciting environment. By the end, you’ll have a portfolio that truly reflects your creativity and unique perspective. Ready to get started and have fun making art? This class is for you!
