When and Where: Fridays at lunch in the library
All students, whether they are new to chess, play just for fun or play as grand masters are welcome to come out and play and practice their skills. All are invited to compete in the DSBN Chess tournaments that are usually held once a month during the school day. Tournaments are held in neighbouring high schools, and students’ abilities and experience are matched with players from other schools. During the course of the year, students are given the opportunity to play and qualify for the Provincial chess tournament that is held in late April. |
